Four-star wide receiver Lawrence Britt from Memphis Lausanne High School in Tennessee will visit the University of Florida this week as he continues to evaluate his college options. Britt is a top-250 national recruit and the No. 9 player in Tennessee for the 2027 class.
Why it matters
Britt's visit to Florida is significant as the Gators look to build momentum on the recruiting trail under new head coach Jon Sumrall. Florida already has two commitments in the 2027 class, and landing a player of Britt's caliber would be a major boost.
The details
Britt was re-offered by the new Florida coaching staff on February 12th. He will make the trip to Gainesville on Tuesday to get a closer look at the program. Missouri and Clemson have also been heavily involved in Britt's recruitment, with the recruit having official visits scheduled to both schools. As a junior, Britt had 47 receptions for 825 yards and 18 total touchdowns.
