Florida Guard Xaivian Lee Earns SEC Player of the Week

Senior guard led Gators to wins over Georgia and Kentucky

Florida Gators senior guard Xaivian Lee has been named co-SEC Conference Player of the Week by the league office. Lee posted 18 points and seven assists with no turnovers to lead the Gators to victory at Georgia last Wednesday, and scored 22 points in Saturday's win over 25th-ranked Kentucky, making his first four 3-point attempts.

This is the fourth different Florida player to earn SEC Player of the Week honors this season, tying a conference record. Lee's strong performances have helped keep the Gators undefeated at 6-0 against ranked SEC opponents.

In the win over Georgia, Lee scored or assisted on 14 of UF's 32 field goals (44%). Against Kentucky, he tied his season-high with four 3-pointers made, shooting 4-7 (57.1%) from beyond the arc for a 79% true shooting percentage.
