Presley Smith, a native of Magoffin County, Kentucky, has emerged as one of the top softball players in the Atlantic Sun Conference while competing for Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). At the start of March, Smith was leading the conference in batting average and on-base percentage, and was ranked sixth in on-base plus slugging percentage.

An outfielder for the Eagles, Smith came to FGCU from Indian River State College, where she excelled over the previous two seasons. In 2024, Smith helped lead Indian River State College to a national title. As a sophomore, she batted .397 with 8 home runs, 54 RBIs, 51 runs, and 37 stolen bases in 53 games.
