The Weeknd, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, has closed on a $55 million purchase of a waterfront mansion in Coral Gables, Florida. The 18,963-square-foot estate sits on a 1.2-acre point lot with nearly 600 feet of private waterfront access and features eight bedrooms, nine and a half bathrooms, a pool, a hot tub, an outdoor kitchen, and a private dock capable of accommodating a superyacht up to 200 feet in length.
Why it matters
This purchase marks The Weeknd's first major real estate investment in South Florida, adding to his growing portfolio that already includes a $70 million Bel Air mansion. The Coral Gables property is located in the exclusive Gables Estates community, which has recently been ranked as the most expensive neighborhood in the U.S., surpassing even Beverly Hills.
The details
The estate's design incorporates a 'V' shape to maximize views of Biscayne Bay, the Miami skyline, and Atlantic sunrises. The interior features high-end finishes and amenities, including a chef's kitchen, Italian-made Baxter furnishings, a media room, a wet bar, a private office, and a sanctuary-style primary suite. The exterior boasts a mosaic-tiled pool and meticulously landscaped grounds, as well as a 5-car garage with climate-controlled bays.
- The Weeknd closed on the $55 million purchase on October 3, 2025.
- The property was previously owned by oil recycling mogul Stephen Lempera, who acquired it in 2019 for $25.5 million.
- The mansion went under contract in September 2025, after being listed for $54.9 million.
