In the first incident, New Castle County Police located a vehicle that had been reported stolen and monitored it until a 17-year-old from Wilmington entered it. He was arrested along with three other juveniles. In the second incident less than an hour later, Delaware State Police responded to an armed robbery in the mall's parking lot near JCPenney. A 17-year-old from Wilmington allegedly approached two victims, produced a handgun, and stole personal property from one of them. The teen then chased the second victim while aiming the gun, but the victim escaped unharmed. The suspect fled across multiple lanes of Route 1 before being apprehended by police.
