The Danbury Police Department is once again offering its Citizen Police Academy, a free program designed to give local residents, business owners, and employees a closer look at how modern policing works. Over eight weekly sessions, participants will learn about patrol procedures, crime scene investigations, traffic enforcement, and specialized units like SWAT and K-9.

The details
The Citizen Police Academy is open to anyone 18 or older who lives, works, or owns a business in Danbury. Classes will be held one night a week for eight weeks, starting on March 24, 2026 and running through May 12.
