Four Connecticut men, including a Bridgeport resident, were arrested Thursday night in Stamford after police found three loaded guns - two of which were reported stolen - and drugs inside their vehicle during a traffic stop. The arrests came as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
Why it matters
The discovery of stolen firearms and narcotics in a vehicle raises concerns about public safety and the proliferation of illegal guns in the region. This incident highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to disrupt drug trafficking networks and remove dangerous weapons from the streets.
The details
According to police, the Stamford Police Department's Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad (NOC) had been investigating Shayaa Brown, 27, of Stamford, for drug trafficking. Investigators also had information that Brown, a convicted felon, was in possession of firearms. When Brown's vehicle returned to his home, police blocked the car and conducted a search. The driver, Isaiah Landrau, 22, of Bridgeport, was found to be in possession of a loaded .40 caliber handgun that had been reported stolen from South Carolina. Further searches of the vehicle uncovered two additional handguns - a .40 caliber Glock with a high-capacity magazine, and a 9mm Glock with a 29-round magazine, the latter of which had been reported stolen from Bridgeport. Police also seized approximately 7.5 grams of crack cocaine from the vehicle.

- The .40 caliber Ruger handgun had been reported stolen from Greenville, South Carolina on August 4, 2022.
- The 9mm Glock handgun had been reported stolen from Bridgeport, Connecticut on October 16, 2025.
