After going a perfect 4-0 in the opening weekend, Caelynn Obleton and Marina Cronin swept the American Rivers Conference weekly player of the week awards. Cronin began the weekend with a one-inning save to secure the sweep of No. 20 Illinois Wesleyan and then threw five, one-unearned innings in Simpson's 8–6 win over Eau Claire. Obleton led the offense from the hot corner, going 5-for-11 with four RBIs, four stolen bases and one double.

Cronin then threw five, one-unearned innings in Simpson's 8–6 win over Eau Claire in which she gave up four hits, one walk, and punched out six batters. Obleton led the offense from the hot corner, going 5-for-11 with four RBIs, four stolen bases and one double. Her highlight performance came in the win over Eau Claire where Obleton went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, two runs scored and three stolen bases.
