Margaret Jane "Peggy" Eyres, a longtime resident of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, passed away on November 12, 2025 at the age of 84 in Goodyear, Arizona. Peggy was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1941 and spent her early years summering at a family cottage in Canada. After graduating from the University of Colorado, she moved to Steamboat Springs in 1966 where she became known as a gracious host, skilled cook, and active community member, opening a restaurant called "The Soup Kitchen" and volunteering at the local hospital. In her later years, Peggy split time between Colorado and Florida before moving to Arizona to be closer to family.
