Dazzling Gem, Mineral & Jewelry Show Returns to JeffCo Fairgrounds

The Denver Gem & Mineral Guild is hosting its annual Gem & Mineral Show at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall from Friday, February 27 to Sunday, March 1, 2026. The free event will feature displays of minerals, fossils, meteorites, glowing rocks, and handcrafted jewelry, as well as educational activities like gem cutting demonstrations, gold panning lessons, and a fluorescent "Bat Cave" exhibit.

The three-day show will feature more than 20 educational displays from organizations like the Sherman-Dugan Geological Museum and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Attendees can watch skilled lapidary artists cut and polish gems, learn how to pan for gold, and vote for their favorite display case to enter to win prizes. Visitors can also start their own mineral collection by purchasing $1 grab bags filled with 8 samples.

• Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
