Donna was born in Olathe, Colorado, and married Arnold in 1953. The couple moved to Glenwood Springs in 1959 and raised their family there. Donna was a full-time mother and homemaker, and in 1970 she and her friend Peggy Fuller bought and operated the For You Shoppe for many years. Donna was an active member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church and belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society.
