The Fort Morgan girls basketball team has hit a rough patch, suffering three consecutive losses in the past week and a half against some of the better teams in Class 4A. Despite the setbacks, the Mustangs are still ranked No. 30 in the CHSAA Selection & Seeding Index, and the top 32 teams will advance to the postseason.

Despite the losses, the team has been led in scoring by freshman Lexxi Meyer (6.8 points per game) and senior Melina Richards (5.9 points per game), while junior Ava Taylor has been a force on the boards with 9 rebounds per game on average.
