The new Durango Bluegrass Train has announced the lineup for its inaugural run on May 28-30. The three-and-a-half-hour round-trip ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad will feature six bluegrass bands performing in their own train cars as the train travels through the Animas Valley and San Juan National Forest. Tickets for the 21-and-over event go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. and are expected to sell out quickly.

The train will depart Durango at 7 p.m. and stop for a 15-20 minute break at Rockwood before returning to the depot. Four coaches will offer seated accommodations, while two open, standing-room-only cars are designed for high-energy dancing. There will also be three bars on the train serving Colorado craft beer, wine, and canned cocktails.
