After over 20 years in Cherry Creek North, Denver-based home decor retailer HW Home is relocating its flagship store to a larger 10,000-square-foot showroom in the 9+CO mixed-use development. The new space, slated to open in late spring 2026, will be about 50% bigger than HW Home's current location and allow the independent retailer to expand its product offerings and in-store experiences.
Why it matters
The move highlights how mixed-use developments like 9+CO are reshaping where independent retailers choose to invest in Denver. As big-box and online home goods competitors expand in the market, the larger showroom will help HW Home better compete by offering a more immersive, design-forward in-store experience for customers.
The details
HW Home's new 10,000-square-foot flagship store will be located at the corner of 8th Avenue and Albion Street in the 9+CO development, giving the retailer more visibility along Colorado Boulevard. The buildout will incorporate signature design elements from the current Clayton Lane location, including reclaimed maple flooring and a recreated onyx wall, while expanding the store's ability to stage full-room vignettes and host events.
