Several former Colorado Buffaloes football players, including defensive end Arden Walker, offensive lineman Xavier Hill, receiver Sincere Brown, and defensive end Keaten Wade, participated in CU's annual pro day on Tuesday, showcasing their skills for scouts from 26 of the 32 NFL teams as well as the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The players aimed to impress the scouts and improve their chances of getting an opportunity to play at the professional level.

Why it matters

CU's pro day is an important event for players looking to take the next step in their football careers. With four Buffs getting drafted last year, this year's group is hoping to continue that momentum and prove they have what it takes to play on Sundays. The event allows scouts to evaluate the players' athleticism, skills, and potential, which can impact their draft stock and chances of being signed by an NFL or CFL team.

The details

The group of 19 graduating CU players, along with a handful of others from different schools, participated in a variety of drills and tests, including the 40-yard dash, vertical leap, bench press, and position-specific workouts. Standout performances came from Walker, Hill, Brown, Wade, and others, as they aimed to showcase their abilities and potential to the assembled scouts.
