The USDA Forest Service is seeking volunteer campground hosts to serve as the 'friendly face of the forest' at several campgrounds in the Klamath National Forest this summer. Hosts will be responsible for greeting visitors, providing information, assisting with campsite registration, maintaining facilities, and more. Volunteers must provide their own RV or camp trailer, and reimbursement for some expenses may be available.

The details

Campground hosts will generally serve five days per week, with priority given to high-use periods and weekend coverage. Their responsibilities include greeting visitors, providing information, assisting with campsite registration, monitoring site use, cleaning and stocking restrooms, performing light maintenance, picking up trash, submitting administrative documents, and communicating regularly with recreation staff.
