The Master Gardeners of Solano County are hosting a series of free public presentations and events this spring and summer, offering gardeners across the region opportunities to learn from local experts, connect with resources, and prepare their gardens for the warmer months ahead.

The details
The presentation series kicks off on April 1 in Vacaville with an overview of trusted gardening resources throughout Solano, Yolo, and Sacramento counties. Additional Vacaville sessions will cover summer garden prep on May 6 and pest management on June 3. In Fairfield, the Dunnell Nature Park will host workshops on indoor plant care, nature journaling, DIY garden gifts, and growing garlic and onions starting in May. A Spring Plant Exchange is also scheduled for April 25 in Fairfield, where community members can share seeds, cuttings, and other gardening items.
