The Gregori Jaguars, the No. 1 team in Division I and the section, scored early in the first half but No. 16 Oak Ridge answered late in the first half with a penalty kick. With 25 minutes left in the match, freshman Adelynn Battig broke the 1-1 tie and then scored again a few minutes later to give the Jaguars a 3-1 lead. Junior Rachel Warter sealed the 4-1 win with a late goal, sending Gregori into the second round.

Gregori had their best regular season in school history, at times reaching No. 1 in California and top 5 in the nation. This win keeps their playoff run alive as they look to capture the Division I title.

Gregori (20-0-1) had several scoring chances in the first half but couldn't find the back of the net. Oak Ridge (3-13-3) scored on a penalty kick to tie the game 1-1 late in the first half. In the final 25 minutes, freshman Adelynn Battig scored two goals to give Gregori a 3-1 lead, and junior Rachel Warter added a late goal to seal the 4-1 victory.
