The Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) is recognizing Heavenly Mountain Resort for its outstanding support and opportunities provided to LTUSD students. Through the Epic Promise Foundation and Epic for Everyone Program, Heavenly offers fourth and fifth-grade students the chance to ski or snowboard for three days, as well as other snow sports experiences throughout the school year.

The details
Each year, all LTUSD fourth and fifth-grade students receive lift tickets, equipment rentals, and professional lessons to ski or snowboard for three full days. Heavenly also provides opportunities for fifth-grade snowshoeing with a US Forest Service ranger, eighth-grade snowshoeing with the South Tahoe Environmental Education Coalition, and fifth-grade activities like gondola rides, tubing, and career exploration. Additionally, Heavenly supports the South Tahoe Middle School Nordic Ski teams.
