After three members of the Sonora Elementary Board of Trustees resigned in February, the Tuolumne County Board of Education stepped in to temporarily fill the vacancies. Board President Steven Treat appointed three county board members - Cyndi Simonson, Jerry Whitehead, and Treat himself - to serve on the Sonora Elementary board until new members can be appointed or elected.
