Leisure World Residents to Learn Two-Way Radio Basics

Residents of Leisure World in Seal Beach, California who are interested in learning how to use two-way radios are invited to attend a safety class hosted by the LW Community Emergency Response Team (LW CERT) on Friday, March 27. The class will cover the basics of operating a two-way radio, with demonstrations from LW CERT leadership.

The training is part of LW CERT's efforts to promote emergency preparedness and the Neighbor-4-Neighbor (N4N) program, which encourages community members to support one another during crisis situations. Two-way radios can be an important communication tool when other channels are disrupted.
The details
LW CERT President Catherine O'Brien will lead the training, with support from GRF Safety Manager Eloy Gomez and LW CERT Vice President Fara Q. Macartney.
