SMC Planetarium Hosts Deep Space Shows Throughout April
Live-hosted programs explore nebulae, the Milky Way, and galaxies on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

The Santa Monica College Planetarium will present a series of live-hosted shows on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons throughout April, featuring its weekly "Night Sky Show" alongside three "Deep Space Deep Dive" programs exploring nebulae, the Milky Way, and galaxies. Each show is followed by a Q&A with Planetarium Lecturer Sarah Vincent.

The details
The Friday evening shows begin at 6 p.m. with "The Night Sky Show," followed by the feature program at 7 p.m. The Sunday Family Matinée shows start at 1 p.m., with the feature program at 2 p.m. All shows take place in room MSB 126 of the Mathematics + Science Building on the SMC Main Campus. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for children ages 3-12 per show, or $16 adults and $10 children for the combo.
- The April schedule includes "Nebulae" on April 10 and April 12, "Milky Way" on April 17 and April 19, and "Galaxies" on April 24 and April 26.
- The Friday evening shows begin at 6 p.m. and the Sunday Family Matinée shows start at 1 p.m.
