Girls track and field athletes from Santa Cruz County took first place in five events at the 53rd Avis Kelley Invitational at Gilroy High on Saturday. Aptos senior Ella Boyes won the long jump and placed second in the 300 hurdles, while junior teammate Kenzie Culbertson took first in the 800 to help the Mariners finish third out of 17 teams.
