ROHM's new high-performance op amps bring advanced signal processing capabilities to a wide range of precision electronics.Santa Clara TodayROHM Semiconductor has announced the addition of two new CMOS operational amplifier (op amp) series, the TLRx728 and BD728x, to its lineup. These high-performance op amps feature low input offset voltage, low noise, and high slew rate, making them suitable for a wide range of precision applications in automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics.
Why it matters
As automotive and industrial systems become more sophisticated, there is growing demand for high-accuracy op amps that can minimize signal error and delay. ROHM's new op amp series are designed to meet these requirements, offering a well-balanced set of key characteristics to enable precise signal processing and control in a variety of applications.
The details
The TLRx728 series features an input offset voltage of 150 μV (typ.), while the BD728x series offers 1.6 mV (typ.). Both series have a noise voltage density of 12 nV/√Hz at 1kHz and a slew rate of 10 V/μs. These specifications make the op amps suitable for sensor signal processing, current detection circuits, motor driver control, and power supply monitoring systems. The op amps also feature rail-to-rail input/output capability for maximum utilization of the power supply voltage range.
- ROHM announced the new op amp series on March 31, 2026.
The players
ROHM Semiconductor
A Japanese semiconductor company that specializes in the design and manufacture of a wide range of electronic components, including op amps, power management ICs, and sensors.
What’s next
The new op amp series are being released simultaneously, except for certain part numbers. For sales information, customers can refer to the lineup table or purchase the products online through distributors like DigiKey, Mouser, and Farnell.
The takeaway
ROHM's expansion of its high-performance op amp lineup with the TLRx728 and BD728x series demonstrates the company's commitment to providing versatile and precise solutions to meet the growing demands of the automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics markets.
