Graham Ike named WCC Player of the Week for fifth time in 2025-26

Gonzaga forward earns conference honor after leading Zags to road win over Santa Clara

Published on Feb. 19, 2026

Gonzaga forward Graham Ike was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday, after leading the Zags to a massive road win over Santa Clara on Saturday night. Ike scored 21 points with 15 rebounds and four assists in the victory, which put Gonzaga back in first place in the WCC standings.

Why it matters

Ike's fifth Player of the Week honor this season is two more than any other player in the conference, highlighting his dominant play and importance to the Gonzaga team. The Zags have gone 8-1 without injured forward Braden Huff, with Ike taking on an even bigger offensive role.

The details

Ike scored 20 points with seven rebounds in just 23 minutes against Washington State earlier in the week, before his big performance against Santa Clara. Over his last seven games, the 6'9" big man is averaging 26.7 points and 9.3 rebounds while shooting 69.4% on two-pointers and 53.8% from three-point range.

  • On Monday, February 17, 2026, Ike was named WCC Player of the Week.
  • On Tuesday, February 11, 2026, Ike scored 20 points with seven rebounds against Washington State.
  • On Saturday, February 14, 2026, Ike scored 21 points with 15 rebounds and four assists in the win over Santa Clara.

What they’re saying

“He's clearly one of the best players in all of college basketball. It's surprising to me when you look at some of these lists that are generated, he's a glaring omission sometimes. If you base something on productivity, who does it any better night in and night out than he does?”

— Herb Sendek, Santa Clara head coach (Santa Clara Chronicle)

What’s next

Gonzaga will take on San Francisco on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at the Chase Center. The game is set to tip off at 8:00 PM PT and will be televised on ESPN 2.

The takeaway

Graham Ike's dominant play this season has been a key factor in Gonzaga's success, especially with the injury to teammate Braden Huff. Ike's fifth WCC Player of the Week honor highlights his status as one of the best players in college basketball, though he may not be getting the national recognition he deserves.
