Three exceptional high school student-athletes from the Santa Barbara area were honored at the recent Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table luncheon. Mason Crang of San Marcos High School was named Boys Athlete of the Week, Elina Stump of Santa Barbara High School was named Girls Athlete of the Week, and Jae Wykoff of Cate High School was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Crang, a senior at San Marcos High, led his baseball team to two big wins over rival Dos Pueblos, going 3-for-4 with an RBI in one game and pitching a complete game with seven strikeouts in the other. Stump, a junior at Santa Barbara High, is a standout track and field athlete, winning the 100 hurdles, long jump, and 4x400 relay in a recent meet against Oxnard and setting a personal best time in the 300 hurdles. Wykoff, a senior at Cate High, excels in the classroom with a 4.85 GPA and is also a standout in swimming and water polo, having committed to play water polo at MIT.
