Five teenagers from San Luis Obispo County have been arrested and charged in connection with a violent assault on a 15-year-old girl in a bank parking lot in downtown San Luis Obispo. According to police, the incident began as an argument between two teenage girls, a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, in a Columbia Bank parking lot on Morro Street. The younger girl then allegedly threw the 15-year-old to the ground, at which point four other teens - two 14-year-old girls, a 16-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy, and a 17-year-old boy - joined in, repeatedly punching and kicking the victim in the head and body until she lost consciousness. Before fleeing, the suspects allegedly stole the victim's phone and purse.
