After 75 years of welcoming guests to its iconic hotel in Positano, the Sersale family has opened a new beach club called Le Sirenuse Mare in the nearby fishing village of Nerano. The 27,000-square-foot beach club features two jetties, a restaurant, three bars, and a garden designed by renowned landscape architect Paolo Pejrone, centered around 12 Aleppo pine trees.

Why it matters

The opening of Le Sirenuse Mare represents the latest expansion of one of the Amalfi Coast's most storied hospitality brands, further solidifying the region's reputation as a premier luxury travel destination. The beach club's focus on locally sourced ingredients, relaxed atmosphere, and integration with the natural landscape exemplify the Sersale family's commitment to preserving the authentic character of the Amalfi Coast.

The details

Le Sirenuse Mare is located in the fishing village of Nerano, about 25 minutes by boat from Positano. The beach club features two jetties - one for boat arrivals and another providing access to a cordoned swimming area. The 180-seat restaurant serves Neapolitan classics with an emphasis on simplicity and local ingredients, while three bars offer different moods and moments throughout the day. Landscape architect Paolo Pejrone designed the garden, centered around 12 Aleppo pine trees that he insisted be the 'main show' of the property.

  • Le Sirenuse Mare opens on April 23, 2026 and will operate from April through October.
  • The beach club project has been in development for the past five years.

What they’re saying

“We never really found a place along the coast that we could make work for us. Then our two sons, Aldo and Francesco, came back to Positano and that really helped us think that should we have found something, it would have definitely been able to work because we would have had their support.”

— Antonio Sersale, Owner, Le Sirenuse

“He sat down with a chair and a table in what was just a yard at the time, with the plan in front of him. He looked at the plan, drew 12 circles, and said, 'These will be Aleppo pines. This is first and foremost a garden, and then it is a beach club.'”

— Antonio Sersale, Owner, Le Sirenuse

What’s next

Le Sirenuse Mare will open to the public on April 23, 2026 and operate seasonally through October.
