Elastic, the company behind the popular open-source search and analytics platform, announced that its Elastic Cloud Hosted service has achieved FedRAMP High authorization. This certification means the cloud-based offering meets the rigorous security and compliance standards required for use by US federal government agencies.

The details

To attain FedRAMP High authorization, Elastic's cloud infrastructure and security controls underwent a comprehensive assessment and validation process. This included demonstrating compliance with over 400 security controls spanning areas like access management, incident response, system and information integrity, and more. The certification process was led by an accredited third-party assessment organization (3PAO) and approved by the FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board.
