VIAVI Solutions Inc. has announced the launch of its Observer Threat Forensics solution, which provides advanced retrospective analysis capabilities to help organizations increase visibility across operational teams and identify potential vulnerabilities, including post-detection analyses of a breach, the intrusion point, and the exposed data. The solution is built on VIAVI's network operation management expertise and integrates threat intelligence from CrowdStrike, aiming to unify NetSecOps workflows and give customers the context they need to quickly investigate incidents and stop breaches.

Why it matters

The industry is shifting towards a converged NetSecOps structure to close critical gaps in incident responses and strengthen resilience, but many organizations are still struggling with the transition from siloed network and security operations teams. VIAVI's Observer Threat Forensics is designed to address this challenge by providing a unified view of the organization's network, application, and user domains, eliminating noise and data gaps that can introduce risk.

The details

Observer Threat Forensics brings together packet insights, flow data, and log telemetry into a unified NetSecOps workflow, as well as retrospective forensic capability. The platform also unites site, application, network, and UC views into a simple, easy-to-read user dashboard that gives a complete view of the organization's end-user experience, as well as performance issues and their root causes.

  • Observer Threat Forensics will be showcased at VIAVI's booth N5484 at the RSA Conference from March 23-26 in San Francisco, CA.
  • Chris Labac and Yury German, Senior Product Manager, will present NetSecOps: Network Visibility for Stronger Security and Performance at the RSAC Insights Theater at 1:30 PM PT on March 24.
