Anyplace, a U.S.-based platform for remote-work-ready furnished apartments, has announced the launch of its first Tokyo location at Ebisu Garden Place in partnership with Sapporo Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. The project marks Anyplace's expansion into Japan and introduces a new category of work-ready furnished apartments in Tokyo designed specifically for remote professionals, software engineers, startup founders, digital nomads, and long-term business travelers.

Why it matters

As remote and hybrid work models become more common, demand for flexible, long-term living solutions continues to rise. While Japan remains an attractive destination for international professionals, housing options in Tokyo that meet the needs of global remote workers have been limited. Anyplace's new furnished apartments in Ebisu aim to fill this gap by providing remote-work-ready infrastructure and amenities tailored for long-term stays.

The details

Each Anyplace unit in Tokyo will include high-speed Wi-Fi, an ultrawide monitor, an ergonomic office chair, and a height-adjustable desk, in addition to being fully furnished. Unlike traditional serviced apartments, Anyplace's units are purpose-built to support full-time remote work from day one. Under the partnership, Sapporo Real Estate Development leases residential units within Ebisu Garden Place to Anyplace, which then furnishes and operates them as work-ready furnished monthly apartments.
