Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the launch of Amazon Connect Health, an AI agent-powered platform designed to help healthcare organizations automate repetitive administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, documentation, and patient verification. The platform is HIPAA-eligible and integrates with electronic health record (EHR) software.

The details

Amazon Connect Health works with existing clinician software to manage administrative workflows, including tasks like medical history reviews, medical coding, and clinical documentation. The platform currently offers patient verification and ambient documentation, with appointment scheduling and patient insights in preview. Additional features like medical coding are set to roll out later. The software costs $99 per user per month for up to 600 encounters per month.
