Coachella Performers Headed to the Bay Area

Goldenvoice brings a slate of Coachella acts to intimate venues across the region

Published on Feb. 23, 2026

Goldenvoice, the promoter behind the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, is bringing a curated lineup of Coachella performers to the Bay Area for a series of intimate concerts over the next few months. The annual "San Franchella" or "Fauxchella" programming allows local music fans to experience a slice of the Coachella festival without the desert heat and crowds of the main event.

Why it matters

This programming gives Bay Area residents access to Coachella acts without having to travel to the main festival in Indio. It also provides an economic boost to local music venues and the regional entertainment industry.

The details

The San Franchella series kicks off on March 6 with a performance by electronic artist AYYBO at The Midway in San Francisco. Over 15 concerts are scheduled through May, including shows by Talking Heads frontman David Byrne, house artist Max Styler, and singer-songwriter Alex G. Venues like The Midway, Great American Music Hall, and Pier 48 will be hosting the events. Goldenvoice is also giving away tickets to the Bay Area shows as well as a pair of passes to Coachella Weekend 2.
