congatec is expanding the performance envelope of its COM-HPC Client Size C Computer-on-Modules (COMs), conga-HPC/cBLS, with new Intel Core Series 2 variants based on high-performance P-cores. The new modules feature up to 12 identical P-cores and support up to 192 GB of RAM, making them well-suited for performance-hungry edge computing applications in markets such as test & measurement, medical imaging, smart grids, energy systems, robotics, and industrial process automation.
Why it matters
The conga-HPC/cBLS modules provide server-class performance in a workstation-class design footprint, enabling deterministic high-end embedded computing at up to 5.7 GHz. This directly benefits applications that require low-latency, parallel processing of numerous data streams, such as data loggers, precision real-time control systems, and AI-based quality inspection systems.
The details
The new conga-HPC/cBLS modules are powered by high-performance yet cost-efficient LGA processors, delivering maximum compute capability. They also feature strong AI acceleration capabilities with the integrated Intel UHD Graphics, supporting Intel Deep Learning Boost and Vector Neural Network Instructions for efficient AI inference at the edge. The modules support a range of operating systems, including Windows 11, Linux, and Ubuntu Pro, and can be preconfigured with licensed software for streamlined application development.
- The new conga-HPC/cBLS modules were announced on March 10, 2026.
