NetBurner, a technology company based in San Diego, California, has launched the NTP1061 Outdoor Network Time Server, an affordable and weatherproof self-contained NTP server that provides sub-millisecond time accuracy across an entire network. The NTP1061 synchronizes directly with GNSS satellites and can serve up to 10,000 time requests per second with 1-millisecond accuracy, eliminating the need for manual clock-setting or complex antenna wiring.
Why it matters
As more industries and applications require precise network time synchronization, the NTP1061 provides an accessible and easy-to-deploy solution for organizations of any size. The compact, weatherproof design and Power over Ethernet connectivity make the NTP1061 suitable for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications, from factories and offices to remote field deployments.
The details
The NTP1061 Outdoor Network Time Server features a compact 13x6 cm form factor and an IP65-rated enclosure that can withstand temperatures from -40°C to +85°C. It synchronizes directly with all major GNSS satellites to provide a Stratum 1 time source, accurate to under 1 microsecond, and can serve up to 10,000 time requests per second with 1-millisecond accuracy. Configuration and real-time satellite monitoring are handled through an intuitive web interface secured with HTTPS.
- The NTP1061 is being launched in time for the time change on Sunday, March 10, 2026 at 2AM.
- Orders for the NTP1061 will be accepted starting March 8, 2026, with deliveries beginning in May 2026.

What they’re saying
“NetBurner customers have made it clear that our NTP servers are an important cornerstone of their time-sensitive operations. With the NTP1061 we wanted to remove every barrier to deploying precise network time. No separate antenna, no dedicated power run, no unnecessary expenses: just plug in a single Power over Ethernet cable, mount the unit with a clear view of the sky, and your whole network has access to sub-millisecond time precision. It really is accurate timekeeping on one cable.”
