Epirus, Digital Force Technologies Partner to Develop Non-Kinetic Counter UAS Kill-Chain

The partnership will integrate Epirus' Leonidas high-power microwave platform with Digital Force Technologies' Seraphim counter-UAS software.

Published on Feb. 23, 2026

Epirus and Digital Force Technologies (DFT) have partnered to deliver a fully integrated counter-UAS kill chain that combines Epirus' Leonidas high-power microwave platform and DFT's Seraphim command-and-control and multi-modal sensor fusion software. The collaboration aims to provide a scalable, high-precision, and low-collateral counter-UAS capability for critical point defense missions.

Why it matters

As drone threats continue to evolve, the need for advanced counter-UAS solutions that can effectively neutralize swarming, AI-controlled, and fiber-optic guided UAS is growing. This partnership brings together complementary technologies to address this challenge, providing a flexible and adaptable system that can rapidly detect, track, identify, and defeat emerging UAS threats.

The details

Under the agreement, Epirus will lead the systems integration of DFT's Seraphim software with its own Leonidas high-power microwave platform. Leonidas uses electromagnetic interference to disable the critical electronics onboard drones, while Seraphim provides autonomous tracking and identification of UAS threats through sensor fusion and AI-enabled decision-making. By combining these capabilities, the companies aim to deliver a turnkey detect-to-defeat counter-UAS solution.

  • The companies will partner on U.S. government demonstration activities and are expected to present their full counter-UAS kill chain solution later this year.
