The details

They worked with local chef Max Jack to develop a menu focused on seasonal, locally sourced, and organic produce, with fermented foods as a central component. The café offers sandwiches, soups, salads, and specialty beverages like electrolyte tonic shots and fermented fruit sodas. Point Reyes Station will also soon welcome Bar Auklet, a small-plates seafood restaurant with a wood-fired grill and wine bar from Shannon Gregory, who operates other local food businesses like the Marshall Store and Route One Bakery. The new restaurant is being developed in partnership with the Point Reyes Good Luck Fund, which aims to revive vacant spaces and preserve the unique character of West Marin.
