A Pasadena-based dance company, Lineage Performing Arts Center, is celebrating 20 years of its annual "Healing Blue" production that transforms the experiences of cancer survivors into a 70-minute performance combining dance and spoken word. This year's show on February 22 will feature storytellers from the Living Beauty Cancer Foundation, a local nonprofit that supports women living with cancer.

Lineage founder and choreographer Hilary Thomas creates new dance pieces each year based on the words of the women featured in "Healing Blue." This year's performance will include six Lineage dancers, as well as storytellers from the Living Beauty Cancer Foundation, a Pasadena nonprofit that provides wellness programs and community support for women living with cancer. Lineage has presented over 3,000 performances and raised more than $500,000 for charitable organizations since opening its performing arts center in 2010.
