The American Legion Post 519 in Palm Springs is hosting its second annual Robert Shipe Memorial Scramble Golf Championship this Saturday in Cathedral City. The two-man scramble tournament raises funds for American Legion Youth Baseball, helping provide local children with equipment, uniforms, and opportunities to participate in organized baseball programs. The event also honors World War II veteran and longtime Palm Springs resident Robert Shipe.
