Construction has begun on a major $75 million-plus upgrade at Demuth Park in Palm Springs. The project aims to improve parking, safety, accessibility, and overall amenities for families and pet owners who use one of the city's most popular parks, including building new permanent dog parks, adding ADA-compliant parking, and converting a dirt lot into a paved parking lot.

The details

The project includes building new permanent large and small dog parks, adding ADA-compliant parking spaces, and converting a two-acre dirt lot into a 165-stall paved parking lot with upgraded drainage systems. Crews will also repave existing parking lots, restore sidewalks and pathways, and construct a new restroom facility.
