Indivisible Nevada County (INC) and Nevada County Democrats are organizing a 'March for Peace' this Saturday, March 7, 2026 to oppose U.S. military escalation with Iran. The three-mile march will start at the Rood Center in Nevada City and end at the Brunswick overpass in Grass Valley, with participants encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, bring water, signs, flags, and friends.
Why it matters
With rising international tensions, organizers say the march is an opportunity for local residents to make their voices heard before further military escalation occurs. The march will highlight opposition to U.S. military strikes, which they characterize as an illegal act of war, and call for diplomatic solutions instead of war with Iran.

Participants are asked to assemble at 11:00 AM at the Rood Center, with the march departing at 11:30 AM. The march is expected to arrive at the Brunswick overpass around 1:00 PM. Those unable to walk the full distance can meet the march participants at the Brunswick overpass.
