Egnyte's new AI Safeguards and AI Assistant features aim to provide organizations with greater control and visibility over how AI interacts with sensitive corporate content.Mountain View TodayEgnyte, a leader in secure content collaboration and governance, has announced two major additions to its Egnyte Content Cloud platform: AI Safeguards, which gives organizations granular control over how AI interacts with sensitive content, and an AI Assistant that serves as a built-in collaborator across Egnyte workspaces.
Why it matters
As organizations accelerate AI adoption, ungoverned access to sensitive content by AI systems represents a growing risk. Egnyte's AI Safeguards and AI Assistant aim to address these concerns by embedding AI controls and providing a secure, intelligent context layer to empower organizations to be more in control of their data and how it's leveraged by AI tools.
The details
AI Safeguards enables IT and compliance teams to precisely define which users, groups, file locations, and file properties can be processed by AI. The AI Assistant evolves Egnyte's Copilot into a true built-in collaborator, allowing users to ask questions, generate content, and automate tasks directly within their work in Egnyte. Egnyte has also introduced additional enhancements, such as AI in the Desktop App and AI Actions, to bring AI closer to everyday work.
