Mt. San Jacinto Community College District celebrated the opening of a new $50 million Math and Science Building at its Menifee campus, which was the final project funded by the $295 million Measure AA bond measure approved by voters in 2014. The bond allowed MSJC to modernize and expand its campuses, including the opening of a new Temecula campus and completion of a stadium at the Menifee campus.
Why it matters
The new STEM building represents MSJC's investment in providing modern, collaborative learning spaces to support student success, whether they are preparing for transfer, entering the workforce, or exploring new possibilities. The completion of Measure AA also marks the end of a multi-year effort to upgrade MSJC's facilities across its three campuses.
The details
The new Math and Science Building features modern classrooms, labs, and learning environments to support discovery, collaboration, and hands-on learning for MSJC students. Over the years, Measure AA funded a total of 13 campus projects, including the opening of the Temecula campus, completion of the Menifee campus stadium, construction of STEM buildings at the San Jacinto and Menifee campuses, and the creation of a digital media studio at the Menifee campus.
