The Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to a three-year, $30 million contract with free agent center Tyler Biadasz. Biadasz, a 28-year-old Pro Bowler, was released by the Washington Commanders last month and will now take over as the Chargers' starting center, replacing the recently retired Bradley Bozeman.
Why it matters
The Chargers were in need of a reliable starting center after Bozeman's retirement, and Biadasz provides them with an experienced, high-caliber player at the position. His signing should help solidify the offensive line and provide stability for the Chargers' offense in the coming seasons.
The details
Biadasz started 31 games for the Commanders over the past two seasons but ended the 2025 campaign on injured reserve due to ankle and knee injuries. Prior to that, he was a Pro Bowl selection with the Dallas Cowboys in 2022 and started 84 of his 92 career games between Dallas and Washington since being drafted in the fourth round out of Wisconsin in 2020.

What’s next
Biadasz will officially join the Chargers when the new league year begins on March 13, 2026, and he will be expected to step in as the team's starting center immediately.
The takeaway
The Chargers have addressed a key need on their offensive line by signing the experienced and talented Tyler Biadasz, who should provide a significant upgrade at the center position and help solidify the protection for their star quarterback.
