The Mexico City-inspired rooftop bar is launching the Diaspora Soundsystem, a music series that will explore the Black diaspora through sound, movement, and dance. The series will feature evenings dedicated to Caribbean basslines, Chicago house, afrobeats, cumbia, hip-hop, R&B, disco, funk, Ethiopian jazz, and more. The Diaspora Soundsystem kicks off on February 7th with an event rooted in Caribbean lineages, followed by an all-female DJ night on Valentine's Day and a night dedicated to early 2000s hip-hop on February 22nd. In addition to the music, the full cocktail menu and regular food offerings like tacos, ceviche, quesadillas, and churros will be available.
