Utah State softball (12-15, 2-1 MW) dropped its third and final game of the weekend at Fresno State on Sunday, falling 6-2 at Margie Wright Diamond in Fresno. Despite the loss, the Aggies came out on top in the series 2-1.

The game started with back-to-back scoreless and hitless innings, before the Bulldogs put the first run of the day up in the third inning. The Aggies countered on the very first pitch of the fourth when senior infielder Alex Bunton hit a home run. Fresno State then pulled back ahead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth, before tacking on three more in the fifth to go up 6-1. The Aggies recorded at least one hit in the third, fourth and sixth innings, but were unable to generate another run until the seventh when senior outfielder Kya Pratt hit an RBI triple.
