The Del Rey Yacht Club will host its annual Intro to Yacht Racing Seminar on Saturday, March 21, offering sailors an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of competitive sailing and gain hands-on experience aboard race boats. The seminar is designed for both beginners and intermediate sailors interested in joining local racing crews.

The seminar is intended to help grow the local sailing community and prepare new racers to participate in the upcoming sailing season. The details
Participants will begin the morning with classroom-style instruction covering basic sailing and racing concepts, including sail trim, boat handling and racing rules. Afterward, attendees will tour several race boats where skippers will demonstrate different sail-handling systems. Following lunch, sailors will head onto the water to practice what they learned during coached sessions aboard active race boats.
