Pasta Sisters, the beloved Italian family-run restaurant known for its high-quality, scratch-made pasta and generational family recipes, is expanding its offerings to select Gelson's and Claro's Italian Markets locations in Southern California. The brand will now sell its traditional pasta and sauces, including spaghetti, tagliatelle, tortellini, meat lasagna, and bolognese sauce, in the grocery aisle for the first time.
Why it matters
This partnership allows Pasta Sisters to bring its authentic Italian cuisine to more customers across Southern California, making it easier for families to enjoy restaurant-quality pasta at home. It also highlights the growing demand for premium, artisanal Italian food products that preserve traditional techniques and recipes.
The details
Pasta Sisters products sold at Gelson's will include spaghetti, tagliatelle, tortellini, meat lasagna, and bolognese sauce, all made fresh daily using only '00' flour, eggs, and premium extra-virgin olive oil. At Claro's Italian Markets, customers will find tortellini and gnocchi made with fresh potatoes. The pasta is flash-frozen shortly after production to preserve texture and flavor. Suggested retail prices range from $9.95 to $14.95 for 12- to 16-ounce packages.
- Pasta Sisters was founded in 2015 by Paola Da Re and her son Francesco Sinatra.
- In 2018, the family expanded with a second location in Culver City.
- In March 2025, the family opened their first location outside Los Angeles in Costa Mesa.
- In 2024, Pasta Sisters was awarded the 'Ospitalità Italiana – Marchio Q' certification by the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West.
