In practice sessions for a CARS Tour West event in Bakersfield, California, Keelan Harvick held his own against a field of seasoned Super Late Model drivers. He improved his lap times in each practice session, eventually posting a lap just 0.085 seconds off the fastest time. Competing in the more powerful and demanding Super Late Models, rather than the Pro Late Models many young drivers start in, is part of Keelan's development plan to prepare him for the rigors of NASCAR competition.
