Bakersfield Jockey Club to Honor 18 Student-Athletes

The Bakersfield Jockey Club, a recent inductee into the Bob Ellis Kern County Sports Hall of Fame, will host an event on Tuesday to honor 17 high school and one Cal State Bakersfield student-athlete for their athletic abilities, academic performance, and leadership skills. The awards will be presented by Dan Shannon, a veteran basketball coach and administrator in the Bakersfield area.
